Abstract :
A x10 active frequency multiplier has been presented at an output frequency of 1.5GHz. The unwanted harmonics have been rejected sufficiently by the use of idler circuits. BJT BFY-193 is used as an active non-linear device and the circuit is implemented on 25mil alumina MIC substrate. The conversion loss of 10.0dB is obtained with a rejection of 20dBc at 9th & 11th harmonics. The circuit has a very stable response over the wide operating temperature range of -5°C to +60°C.
