Abstract :
In this paper, we extend our previous work to generate high-energy nano-second vortex pulses from a Yb-doped double-clad fiber amplifier in combination with a diode-pumped Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser. The maximum output energy of 0.83 mJ with a peak power of >;59 kW and a pulse repetition frequency of 10 kHz was measured at a pump power of 25.7 W, corresponding to an average power of 8.3 W.
