Abstract
We introduce the discretized model for acoustic scattering by objects of arbitrary shape. And a new method to compute scattering field is also put forward, which is based on the dealing with singular integral. Through simulating, we present polar plots of scattering pressure which is under three circumstances of different direction, different frequency of incident sound wave and different position of receiver. The results demonstrate that the method can be used to predict the low-frequency scattering characteristics of objects for bistatic sonar.
