Abstract
In order to realize performance detection of ABS and other electronic control equip, a new roller device with adjustable wheelbase was presented. This device can detect wheel diameter automatically, and simulate different adhesion coefficients or carrying capacity according to detection requirements. Using this device, simulation for different equivalent adhesion coefficient can be implemented once the adhesion coefficient between the roller and tire has been determined. The relationships between three different placement angles of the roller surface and the equivalent adhesion coefficient were studied by simulation, and the results indicate that when the drum surface adhesion coefficient is 0.1, we can simulate the road condition with adhesion coefficient above 0.1.
