Abstract :
Precision forging of gearwheels is an economical alternative to the conventional machining operations for the manufacturing of gearwheels. Furthermore, the efficiency can be increased, if the heat treatment of the gears takes place directly after the forging. Especially for this purpose a fully automated quenching device was developed
