Abstract :
In this paper, the authors have experimentally performed fiber based optical parametric chirped pulse amplification (OPCPA) in the 1 μm region in the femtosecond regime with a photonic crystal fiber (PCF). Parametric amplification is obtained with more than 30 dB gain over 8.3 nm and the amplified signal has been recompressed up to 660 fs. This result clearly demonstrates that FOPCPA schemes are serious candidates for achieving high gain with a potential high contrast value in a compact and stable set up.
