Abstract
It is often insightful in research regarding the management of information resources by organizations to reassess progress in light of new realities and nascent research fields. Such a reassessment can portray potential synergistic frameworks for matching emerging problems and opportunities to recent advancements in relevant reference disciplines. This paper presents such a reassessment and provides an innovative framework reflective of recent advancements in the field of distributed artificial intelligence (DAI). That framework clearly demonstrates how DAI advancements can catalyze research fields currently addressing knowledge-based organizations of the future.<>
