Abstract :
The paper presents 122 GHz LNAs in SiGe utilizing three transmission line topologies. The amplifiers take advantage of passives like transmission lines and MIM capacitors to realize the input, output and inter-stage matching for the LNAs. Three types of transmission lines are investigated. LNA design methodology and performance comparison of LNAs with the three transmission line topologies are given. The amplifier is intended for the use in ISM band radar systems for consumer application and imaging radar for security and medical diagnostics.
