Abstract :
The series of interpenetrating polymer networks (IPN) based on Epoxy, MA(methacrylic acid) and PU(polyurethane) were synthesized in order to improve withstand voltage properties of epoxy resin (E, EM, EMP series). To investigate the influence of change in morphology due to change in single network polymer of the epoxy to multiple network polymer upon the properties of insulator, the authors experimented with DSC (differential scanning calorimeter), SEM (scanning electron microscope), and DC, AC and impulse voltage dielectric breakdown strength. As a result, it was confirmed that the dielectric breakdown strength is controlled by IPN method
