Abstract :
The majority of user interfaces use icons to transmit message. These include software user interfaces, Internet multimedia user interfaces, and mobile media user interfaces. An interface designer has to deal with the visualization of information constantly. Semantics is a rhetoric device which has been applied in graphic interface design as an important modeling method. Based on this understanding, the paper probes into the relations between the selection and expression of graphic semantics in interface design.
