Abstract :
Initial EIS research efforts have examined current implementations in organizations, development issues, and characteristics users feel systems should have to be effective. Research is now needed to examine how EIS are used and what some of the benefits are from the user´s perspective. The purpose of this study was to examine current executive information systems´ usage from the EIS users´ perspective and to determine the types of usage and the perceived improvements to management activities resulting from EIS use. This is a descriptive study that answers the questions: how are EIS used, and what are the perceived improvements in management activities resulting from EIS use?.<>
