Abstract :
An experimental investigation on the performance of a dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is presented in this paper. It is seen that under certain nonlinear loading conditions, the effectiveness of the DVR is seriously impaired due to the finite voltage drop in the transformer and filter impedances. A state feedback scheme is therefore proposed to improve the voltage compensation scheme. Simulation tests carried out reveal the effectiveness of the control system
