  • Abstract
    This paper presents the design and simulation of the Sierpinski carpet fractal antenna in third iteration. Fractals have no characteristic size, and are ordinarily made up of many copies of themselves at different scales. These special properties of fractals have been applied in order to create a new group of antenna designs that are multi-band and compact in size. A square microstrip fractal patch antenna in a Sierpinski carpet is proposed for three-band operation in this paper. The simulation results indicate that the simulation results are in good agreement with fractal theory. Fractal structures can be applied to the design of a multi-band miniature antenna.
