Abstract
In this study we show that even the correct choice of the airclad diameter is not sufficient to ensure that an anticrossing for the FM is avoided. For a fixed core geometry and airclad diameter, the index depression with respect to the surrounding silica matrix is varied, leading to anticrossings of the FM.
