Abstract
A fully digital control scheme for an AC-induction motor is discussed. The control is based on the principle of field control. The induction motor equivalent circuit parameters have been measured with DC test signals at stand still. We found the values for the calculation of parameters from the voltage response, which is necessary for current control. In order to set up the current controller we have to know the load parameters, which are initially unknown. These two parameters are obtained without the current controller. Induction motor parameter measurement requires no additional hardware and no extensive testing. Measurements have been developed and tested only with an inverter and a microcontroller
