Abstract
Just after a seven-year construction, China´s national geopark, with its remarkable success, is making a head start in the world. But there still exist a series of problems in its development and construction due to a lack of theory of tourism of geology and the ambiguity between geology tourism and tourism geology. On the basis of the synthetic analysis of the main problems, this paper will discuss the guiding theories in different construction phases of geoparks from the perspective of geology tourism other than tourism geology and tries to form some basic theories, which can be referred to in the course of sustainable development of China´s national geoparks.
