Abstract
The depth, duration and frequency of sags are influenced by the shielding, protection and configuration of the electricity distribution network. Thus these functions can also be applied for mitigation of disturbances. Also various new devices, often based on power electronics and electricity storage, are available for mitigation. For dynamic modelling of these transient phenomena, commercial software is available. For systemwide surveys commercial AM/FM-GIS packages supplemented by steady state modelling of mitigation devices can also be successfully applied
