Abstract :
A closed form expression for the cavity field within a slim, cubical, metallic enclosure with three closed edges and one open edge is presented. The radiated far fields from the open slot are described by analytical formulations for the electric field and the radiated power. The formulations allow to efficiently analyze resonance frequencies, positions of maximum field density, and placement criteria for critical electronic components within the enclosure.
