Abstract :
Random lasing actions were mainly demonstrated in near ultraviolet and infrared region. Recently, blue-light-emitting random laser action with coherent feedback was observed in ZnSe particles. However, the research of green-light -emitting random laser has not been reported to our knowledge. Here the authors report an upconversion green-light-emitting random laser using macroporous erbium-doped (0.2 mol%) lithium niobate (Er:LN) for the first time to our knowledge. The lasing actions in green light region from 520 nm to 560 nm were induced by a 980 nm exciting laser.
