Abstract :
Electromagnetic interferences on control cables may become serious in 500kV gas insulated substation (GIS) of a nuclear plant while the length of the cable increases. The currents on the shield of control cable caused by short circuit and lightning are calculated by means of method of moments (MOM) in the paper. Then the induced voltage across the port of cable is obtained by means of transfer impedance. Based on the calculated results, the influences of different factors, such as the length of control cable, the soil resistivity and the copper strip laid along with the control cable on the interference on control cable are studied. The conclusion in the paper is the foundation for designing of nuclear plant and selecting of electrical equipments.
