            Abstract : 
In the present work, the authors examine both experimentally and theoretically the cross-polarized angle-resolved transmission (Tsp) and reflectance (Rsp) in a widely used model PhC the thin film opal crystal. Numerical simulations have been performed with the Fourier-Modal-Method (FMM). Experimental and numerical data have been obtained for different angles of incidence, θ , in the ΓLW section of the Brillouin zone of the face centred cubic (fcc) lattice of touching spheres.
