Abstract
In this paper, we use the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method to simulate the performance of the radiometer calibration load under the conditions of different coating thickness, width-height ratios, dimensions and peak shapes. We analyze the effects of these parameters on the performance of radiometer calibration load with plots of reflected signals in the time and frequency domains. The results in the paper could provide some guidance for the design of such microwave calibration loads.
