Abstract :
Facial orientation is important for driver´s fatigue and loosing alertness in safety driving assist research field. Based on machine vision, the facial orientation was recognized through SVM with visual features such as eyes, mouth, facial outlines and so on. Experiments show that the proposed method for driver´s facial features detection has good reliability and the facial orientation can be recognized according to relevant characteristics.
