  • Abstract
A simple mathematical model for the simulation of the propagation of pressure disturbances in gas-liquid two-phase bubbly systems and accurate finite difference technique for its solutions are presented. The numerical predictions agree well with available experimental data found in the literature. An investigation of this model has revealed the presence of novel structures on the two-phase bubbly flow. Among these structures are a fundamentally new type of solitary wave, generation of sub-harmonics and precursor, soliton oscillations, classic pattern of smooth long waves transforming into a train of solitary waves, etc
