Abstract
Here we present evidence that transient and asymptotic states of relaxation process of BEC with repulsive interactions in lattices with boundary losses can lead to breathers at negative temperatures. The statistical mechanics of the system with no losses is described by a Hamiltonian that is bound from below (T equal zero) and above (T equal infinity).
