Abstract
In order to study the influence of road preference on the network capacity in urban transportation system, an improved heuristic method was proposed to explorer the network capacity. Road preference and travel time are taken account of in the discrete route choice model. To reduce the unreasonable detour routes, the K-shortest path algorithm with the restriction of the max patience time is employed. Depend on different objectives the network capacity can be obtained due to the restriction of network average travel speed. By means of a numerical analysis based on the data of the Huaibei city, the application of models and algorithms is illustrated.
