Abstract :
Summary form only given. With the focus on improving the overall efficiency and fast switching characteristics of electron tubes, the thermal management in electron tubes has acquired a key position in the present design effort. Computer aided design of thermionic cathodes for electron tubes, in general and microwave tubes in particular, is one of the most important aspects of this effort.
