Abstract :
This paper addresses the development of a software package in the framework of image processing research involving 3-D medical images. In order to support this research an open source and free software tool was developed for the annotation of image features. The paper essentially discusses the design options, and the functionality - mainly from a user point of view - and explains which additional functionalities and improvements are planned for the future.
