  • Abstract
Recently, wireless communication has been popularly used in our everyday life. However, its security is a crucial challenge since wireless messages are broadcasted in the air through which hackers can intercept the massages and realize what the contents of the messages are. That is why security has been one of the most important issues in wireless communication studies. Encrypting messages to ciphertexts is one of the methods to solve this problem. But, it also causes another problem, i.e., how to safely and confidentially encrypt and deliver security keys so that hackers have to spend a very long time before they can decrypt the ciphertexts. In this paper, we propose a novel Diffie-Hellman-based Public Key Distribution System (DH-PKDS for short) which adopts a stream cipher technique to encode plaintext with a pseudo random number sequence (PRNS for short). We have verified the proposed method, and experimental results show that the proposed system is truly suitable in wireless environments.
