Abstract :
In this paper, a speed controller is designed for hydraulic press using backstepping method. A nonlinear time-varying model of the hydraulic system is established according to the machine structure. Based on the model, a Lyapunov function of the system is designed, and a speed tracking controller is solved using backstepping method to keep the derivative of the function negative-definite, so as to keep the system stable. Simulation results show that the controller deals with the nonlinearity effectively, and the tracking performance of the system is good.
