Abstract :
Rigorous theory of resonances in ferrite loaded waveguide Y-junction is presented. This theory corresponds very well with experiments for any ferrite dimensions. It is demonstrated that circulators can operate either separately on quasi EH or HE modes or as the result of their cooperation. Role of leaky modes in broadband circulation is explained.
