Abstract
The paper proposes a new approach to two-dimensional modeling of microstrip circuits of arbitrary shapes. A new model was developed to be used for finite- difference time-domain (FD-TD) analysis. Characteristic feature of the new model is its inhomogeneity i.e. dependence of the parameters in a particular point of the two-dimensional space on the distance of that point from the strip´s edge. Examples of FD-TD analysis based on the new model are shown.
