            Abstract : 
In this paper, we present and compare some microcavity-based schemes for the generation of counterpropagating photon pairs by studying the effects of the microcavity on the efficiency conversion and the wavelength tunability; the constraints on the cavity finesse as well as the design features are also discussed.
