Abstract :
As the progress of information technology, more and more information systems are adopted into distribution network operation, supervision and management. However, all these information systems define different data structures, and are developed independently by different technologies and vendors. At the same time, the increasing amount and varieties of distribution equipments have made the troubleshooting of distribution network more difficult and time-consuming, as a result, an Outage Management System (OMS) needs to be developed imminently. In this article, the author recommends using IEC 61970/61968 standards and SOA to implement information integration among different distribution network systems, and proposes a Business Process Management (BPM) method to implement Outage Management System. With the solution raised in this article, the interoperability and collaboration among existing information systems could be greatly enhanced, the development of OMS system could be remarkably accelerated, the outage transaction could be simplified and the outage time could be shortened significantly.
