Abstract :
A carrier frequency component method (CFCM) of an interior permanent magnet (IPM) motor sensorless vector-control scheme over full-speed-range is presented. PWM-inverter switching-frequency component current, or carrier frequency component current (CFCC), has been used as the rotor position information source. Control over the whole speed range has been achieved. Experimental results have been presented and discussed.
