Safety management within Land Transport Authority in Singapore

Singapore Land Transport Authority of Singapore vision is to provide "A World Class Land Transport System". To achieve this objective, implementation of an effective safety management within the organisation is one of the major elements in fulfilling this pledge. This paper focused on this safety organisation\´s efforts for rapid transit system (RTS) and detailed their functional roles in safety management. The intention of this paper is to share our organisation\´s experience on the commitments of safety for RTS in Singapore.
