  • Abstract
The TLM method is used to characterize tapered slot antenna radiation. This method enables the calculation of field distribution at any point of the radiating structure and for any band of frequency. The simulation of unbounded media with the TLM method requires appropriate boundary conditions on the frontiers of the numerical domain. This paper presents how to simulate a frequency-independent absorbing boundary in the TLM method. From the near fields, the radiated pattern is calculated using the aperture theory and the influence of the geometrical parameters of the antenna is evaluated.
