Abstract :
A planar waveguide model (PWM) for high Tc superconducting (HTSC) microstrip transmission line (MTL) is proposed. Compared with numerical methods such as SDA or FEM, this model is simple and useful. Compared with incremental inductance method (IIM) and phenomenological loss equivalence (PEM), this model is more general, more accurate and useful. Based on PWM mode matching method (MMM) is used to calculate the S-parameters of various HCTSC microstrip discontinuities. Theoretical results are compared with measurements, they are in reasonable agreement.
