Abstract
To improve the high availability and real-time feature of sip server, in this paper we analyze VRRP (virtual router redundancy protocol), and talk about how to enhance its monitoring functions, especially the function of monitoring the sip server software itself and resource. Then, we use main memory database to improve the querying quality of sip server. Depending on these, we give a design of a hot backup sip server system. The system achieves the smooth switching of the master server and the backup server and improves the responsiveness of the sip server. All the whole progress is apparent and seamless to end users.
