Abstract
The resonant pole inverter (RPI) has the advantages of less component count and lower switching losses due to smaller overlap of switch voltage and current, but the modulation and control strategies of the resonant pole inverter are very complicated. In this paper, a continuous soft SPWM modulation strategy is proposed and the model reference adaptive system (MRAS) is applied to improve the performance of the auxiliary diode resonant pole inverter (ADRPI) after analyzing the operation process of ADRPI in detail. The simulation and experimental results are also presented.
