Abstract :
The behaviour of an automatic gain control system is analysed in the presence of deterministic input signals. The response of the system to a single modulated signal is calculated by solving a linear first-order differential equation with periodically varying coefficient. The steady-state response is obtained in terms of the harmonics, and computer simulation is used to evaluate the dynamic performance.
