Abstract
Interferometric swath bathymetry is now an established, mature technique. In many applications, it provides significant advantages over other techniques. However, it also presents a new set of challenges to both the surveyor and the user of the final data sets. This paper describes these advantages and challenges in the light of the experiences of Submetrix Ltd. and its clients on interferometric surveys in many different situations. These descriptions are illustrated with examples of data products
