Economic development has brought about rapid population growth and urbanization. As a result, intensive use of urban land has become increasingly important. Colligation Evaluation, which can quantize the intensive use level of land and its determinants, is adopted to establish evaluation index system from aspects of land use intensity, land input, benefit and sustainability in order to evaluate the current situation of urban land use in Hebei province. It is found that the efficiency of input, potential-tapping and ecological balance play important roles in upgrading the level of land intensive use of Hebei province.
