Abstract :
A full-wave analysis implemented on a personal computer for the characterization of arbitraritly shaped multiconductor waveguide is presented. The study of the proximity effects on the propagation characteristics of microstriplike lines in different configurations occuring in practical integrated circuits, adjacent ground plane with and without via-hole, metalization thickness, are given as application examples. When published data are available, good agreement is observed.
