Abstract :
Slow-wave transmission lines have been proposed in the literature to reduce the size of microwave interconnections in MMIC´s. On the other hand, the use of gyromagnetic substrates enables the development of non-reciprocal devices. The planar trasmission lines analysed in this work present a composite medium formed by a lossy gyromagnetic layer and a very thin insulator making it possible both slow-wave and non-reciprocal propagation characteristics.
