Abstract :
First measurements of a waveguide mixer with a Schottky-barrier diode are presented, at a local oscillator frequency of 692 GHz. The pyramidal horn is integrated into the mixer-block, with field patterns in good agreement with theoretical predictions. Double-sidenband conversion loss anrd noise temperature are 7.5 dB anad 2400 K respectively at 300 K ambient, for mixer and optics combined.
