Abstract
Providing loss rate guarantees for priority-guaranteed classes while making bursts of the best-effort class pass through is an important absolute QoS issue in OBS networks. Based on Preemptive Scheme with Best-Effort Class Support (PSBES), in this paper, we propose several schemes, which integrate PSBES and wavelength grouping schemes and aim at keeping the loss rates of priority-guaranteed classes under their respective upper bounds when traffic load gets heavier. Simulation results show that the integrated scheme of PSBES and modified dynamic wavelength grouping performs the best among the proposed schemes.
