Abstract :
The toroidal field (TF) coils for the Compact Ignition Tokamak (CIT) have undergone numerous design iterations. The ongoing structural analysis of the present bucked TF design configuration is described. The modeling techniques and load generation, which rely heavily on the TF systems code, are also described. Results for the GlidCop (AL-15) conductor baseline design are presented. Problem areas are identified, and the tradeoffs which are underway are discussed. Current design allowances are presented and discussed
