Abstract :
Combination of respective advantages of discrete and continuous numerical methods, this paper developed a discrete-continuous coupled analysis method. Using the contact computation model to compute particle and the unit mutually contact action on discrete-continuous interface region. Through Particle Flow Code(PFC) and Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua(FLAC) Socket I/O connections, the two-dimensional discrete-continuous coupling computation can be realized. Based on the discrete-continuous coupling computational method, the reinforcement embankment carries on the coupling analysis. The results indicated that it can be realized the reinforced mechanism of geogrid treatment the old and new embankment, by using FLAC as external boundary condition, exerted on the discrete system PFC model. The geogrid plays the reinforcement role gradually from the embankment edge to the embankment center.
