  • Abstract
Engineering devices procurement involves many factors besides price, such as brand requirement, the urgency of the need, the delay of the contract, the supplier, etc. In this paper, we provide an index framework for the evaluation of engineering device procurement. The weight of each index, sub-index and sub-sub-index is calculated with AHP method. We then introduce our software implementation of the evaluation process. Based on the user selection of device and its evaluation index framework, the software automatically generates user interface. The user simply selects from a group of drop-down lists and enters the price of the device. The software calculates the final score and grades it. A set of tools is provided in the software to facilitate the configuration of indices, scores tables and the maintenance of tables. With this software, procurement managers and corporate executives can make their evaluation of procurement quickly done and keep evaluations consistent with each evaluation.
